Interview: Zdravko Čolić ahead of the big concert

Zdravko Čolić will perform for the third time on the crowded "Marakana" stadium on Saturday. More than eighty thousand people are expected, the preparations are well under way, valuable equipment is being shipped from abroad, while Zdravko Čolić and his accompanying band are in Palić, where in the "Elit" hotel, a sort of a quarantine, he is finalizing the repertoire that will be performed at the concert. We came across Čola who was haunted by fans eager to get his autograph in Palić.

- I have no performance jitters ahead of the concert. I know that I will be overcome by adrenaline at the very beginning of the concert when I first see all the people who have come to sing with me. We are ready for it. The guys from the band are well trained and the immense energy should not make us perform certain songs faster. I'm sure it is going to be a spectacle.

Our legendary singer Zdravko Čolić will perform at "Marakana" for the third time on June 23rd. The concert is sold out, the atmosphere will undoubtedly be electric, while the last days ahead of the concert, Zdravko is spending in a sort of a quarantine together with his crew.

Čola has already spent a couple of days in Palić with his crew of musicians in the "Elit" hotel, visiting his long-time friend, Dragan Radanović. Peace and full comfort have been secured for Čola and the company, while the polite staff meet all their demands.

The Countdown Has Started

While Zdravko Čolić is practicing hard with his band in Palić, the stage and lighting are being set up at Marakana.

One week ahead of the spectacular concert, according to the Kurir's sources, Zdravko Čolić and his band are isolated in a luxurious "Elit" hotel in Palić, where in the much needed peace and quiet they are regularly practicing the repertoire which our biggest music star will perform in Marakana in Belgrade for the third time.

- Dragan Radanović is Čola's good friend, and being the owner of the hotel where Zdravko is staying with his band, all is subordinated to the needs of the singer – a well informed the Kurir's source claims and adds:

- Zdravko is truly a professional! Each day from morning to evening, he practices with the musicians,

The Stage as a Skyscraper:

ALL is ready for the great spectacle which will be held at "Marakana" on June 23rd by our most famous pop singer Zdravko Čolić, with the "Večernje novosti" as the media sponsor.

The stage, which was shipped from abroad, is being set up on the south side of the stadium. It is 28 m long, 22 m wide and 30 m high. It will appear as a skyscraper.

As the last preparations for the Sunday spectacle are under way at our biggest stadium, Zdravko Čolić has been practicing for some ten days with his band in Palić. They are staying at the "Elit" hotel. Čola is practicing for six hours each day in the old movie theatre in Palić.
