Event: 18th International Film Festival
Date of the event: July 15th – July 22nd 2006
During its many years of tradition, the Palić Film Festival has seen constant expansion. What once was a modest and unpretentious film event has managed to take important place on the map of European film festivals thanks to many patient attempts to establish a serous film festival of a regional character in difficult times of isolation. The festival was the first point of convergence for the movie industries of the countries of ex Yugoslavia which were at war. It is devoted entirely to European movie production. The novelty at the last festival was the program Young European Authors, which introduced short, experimental and animated movie as a new genre.
